Think of the basic needs

Put yourself in the shoes of someone searching for a holiday rental for a short holiday during the summer months —what would be worth five stars?

First, think of the basic needs—cutlery, toiletries, beach towels, bed sheets, appliances—and how you will go about supplying them. If you rent short-term (holiday rental), you might want to provide some of these as short-term tourists wouldn’t really have time to buy most of the basic things themselves, nor will they have space to bring their own in luggage. 

If the property for rent in Malta is rented long-term, you might not have to worry too much about it, because the guests will more likely want to get themselves comfortable, in their own way.

Outdoor areas

If you have outdoor areas that will definitely be use more frequently in the summer season, make sure they are safe and think of any restrictions you would put for the safety of your guests and your property.

Damages

It is important to safeguard yourself against damages, too. So if you think you guests will shower a lot (as happens in summer), you might want to put in hair filters in your showers and basins; if you think your guests will break or misuse some valuable objects, remove or replace them. It is better to be safe than sorry—disputes get bad reviews!
